Updates
1/10/09: Well, it's been a while! This update is really just to say that websites are hard work, and that's why I don't update so often, but also, I appreciate them way more than I ever enjoy looking at a DA account. They're just so much more personal, and I guess there's a bit of nostalgia thrown in there, too. Sooo, this update is all about the fact that I've updated my adopted dolls section, to be a little more extensive and eclectic. And that I'm going to continue to do so. There's a topic on GLAM! (a forum I've recently joined), at the moment all about how doll adoption is a bit out of date now and someone made the point that if we want it to work then we have to make it easer, so I've also updated my rules. I hope a few other people do to, it's really something I'd like to see more of in the commuinty, again! Apart from that, since I've been gone I've made a few extra dolls! But I'll save that update for another day because currently I'm super-busy with revision.
15/04/09: I've got a mighty mighty update for you! I finally got the archive section up and running althogh it's not completely finished! I also cleaned out the casual section a little (we're back down to 4 pages of casual dolls now, with 8 on each page), created a remake section, which I quite like so you should definately check it out! Some of the remakes are completely new, too. And I've also got a new 80s doll, who is waiting until there's a misc section til she can live anywhere, but you can currently see in the 'new stuff' bit over there <--- if you scroll down past monkey lady! That's about it, but that's a pretty big update by most people's standards =]
08/04/09: Well, this isn't too long since an update considering how busy I've been. It's not a big update at all just wanted to say Happy Easter for next week and post my (very silly, baseless) easter gift. Should anyone want to adopt it, please link back to this site!
28/02/09: Ooh, how soon since my last update =P. I've now added two new bases to the base section (polly and pepper) and added that doll <--- to the new stuff bit (as you can see). I really want to purge the doll section some of the dolls are looking soooo old to me. But, on the plus side that might make me get my arse into gear with the archive section =3. I've also sorted out some (but not all) of the broken links on the links out page (I have sooo many links its a nightmare to keep on top of)...
25/02/09: Well, in case you didn't know I've made it one of my mission 101 goals to update here an average of once a month from January 09 until, whenever the 1001 days are up (hopefully by then it'll be habit anyway!). And this is my february update! I've added an adopted dolls page =]. It's got quite alot of people on it; all people I look up to and admire in the community =]. It's not totally finished yet, so if you're not on there and you really should be that's why =]. But I count that as a success. I've also got two new portraits and a new doll (all baseless) - I might make bases out of them, we'll see [=, but they're not up here until I can sort out the misc section (bane of my life!!). I'm pretty busy with uni at the moment, hence the lack of updates. But maybe in march we'll see some improvement, fingers crossed!
08/01/09: Made some pretty big changes. Purged the base section and updated it =3 Lots of new bases for you. Decided I really need a misc dolls section but haven't made one yet. Deleted the entire 'contest' bit of the site. It's totally unnecessary considering the fact that for the next several years literally I'm not going to have time to run a contest =P. I've made a few new dolls too but haven't put them up yet. I've also collected some dolls to adopt. I said in my March 08 update that I should make an adoption page and a post on TG has kinda prompted me to start to get one together. Also. Two days until the site has been open for a year =D. Unfortunately I don't seem to have made too much progress with it in this year =(. But it has been a busy one in other ways. Hopefully this year there'll be a few more visitors and this site will continue to evolve into something that's more fitting to what I need it for instead of trying to make it fit the general mold for doll-site like I did before. Anyway, basically. Big updates =3. Not sure if anyone will ever read this =/
30/12/08: Once again I've failed at updating, I'm going to stop promising improvements right now lol. I'm sooo busy at uni. But I have got a tiny update for you now =3. But, bad news, I'm going to just bite the bullet and say that the contest page no longer exists, I'm kidding myself if I think I can keep anything like that up at the moment. Sorry to everyone who entered, it was really lovely of you and I got some fantastic entries as well. Honestly, I'm sorry =(. On a brighter note (I think I'll end on this note), I have actually dolled recently. and here's a holiday gift for everyone (baseless):
30/07/08: A small update ^_^. A few new dolls in each section =] and I'm planning on putting the contest into 'vote' in the next couple of days. Last minute entries are welcome, as are emails telling me which polls are good for dolling contests =P. Enjoy!
22/05/08: So my updating hasn't been fantastic (apart from the contest page, which I've been updating faairly regularly), but at least I'm here, which is more than you can expect from most people in exam season! =]. So now there's only a couple of spaces left really - how exciting! If you drop me an email though (or a tag), I can extend the contest till I get your entry so no worries there if you've started but dunno when you'll finish. Thanks for all the tags and visits I've had over the last however long this place has been open ^_^. Anyyywaaay, I have a new base, which I'm sososososoooo proud of (a couple one.. hiding in the base section just incase some people aren't comfortable with it in the new stuff bit =]), the doll in the new stuff bit is on it though ^_^ (although you won't find her anywhere else on the site, since I haven't sorted the misc section out yet and that's where she'll live). I'm seriously considering getting an adoption page, there's so many gorgeous dolls about at the moment. And also. I have *another* sister. Shocking isn't it! It's bubbles from patchwork dolls. She's dead nice I have lots of good conversations about arctic monkeys vinyls with her, haha, she's obsessed. And she asked me again - haha, aren't I the popular one, XDDD. Anywaaaayy. The update isn't even that big, I've just waffled on. How deceptive! Controversiaaaaal =/. XD
5/05/08: Two entries for the contest already. People are soo awesome ^_^. So I've uploaded those. Woo! Nothing much else, but I've fixd a couple of glitches and done a few things I should've done aggessss ago, which is good. And I'm free today 'til six, so I have a good 5 hours to kill so you can probably expect a couple of new dolls in my next update. Woo!
29/04/08: Woo artistic vision contest begins! It's open and I'll be starting a topic in TG and FT today if you'd rather get in touch with me there ^_^. Very happy to get things underway. Any entry would be /awesome/ and you'll be thoroghly worshipped. Also gotta say I'm *so* pleased with my contest examples. They're hawt. Hehe (and you'll just have to go over to the contest to see them). Thanks for looking guys! =D
28/04/08: I seem to be getting better and better at updating =D. However, I'm still not really any good, hehe. I realised the other day that I got January's site of the month from TG the other day. Woo! Go me... here's the award ^_^. Thanks for anyone who voted and whoever nominated me, I'm really pleased. Here's the award - clicking on it will take you to TG =3.
This is a pretty small update really, but still. There are a couple of new dolls so be grateful. I've been very busy busy =3. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that's visiting the site at the moment too (we're currently averaging 3 visits a day which is quite nice ^_^). That's about it till next time, but just so you know I've been getting on with the dollmaker so that should be up soonish =D. Be happy. =3.
13/04/08: Well according to this I'm slightly better at updating lol. Some exciting news this update. I now have a new sister, steffi, she asked me if I wanted to be her sister and obviously I said yes. She's been good friend in the last few months and she's a dead nice girl we talk pretty often =3. She's also on TG, which is always a good thing =]. In addition to this I've... you might want to sit down... put up six new dolls and a new base set =D and a remade base [the pole-dancing one, lol]. And a further godknowshowmany dolls in the new 'silly' and 'misc' sections ^_^. Be happy, guys, 'cuz I am. This is a pretty good update, you should be trying your best not to jump on me right now =P.
03/03/08: Wow, nearly two months have flown by already, that's mental!! Anyway, I updated with 5 new dolls today; 2 in formal and one 3 in casual ^_^. I'm quite proud of them. One of the more recent ones is in the 'new stuff' box now <--, you know, just to keep you entertained until you find your way to them [they're all on the last pages of their sections just 'cuz that was easier to update =P *lazy*]. Thanks for all the tags everyone. They're awesome. And someone remind me to update the links out page, 'cuz I've been browsing quite a few doll sites recently and I really have found some AMAZING dollers out there. It's awesome =]. Right, I've chatted on long enough. I promise to try harder to keep this place nice and up to date ^_^.
12/01/08: Finished the base section and edited a couple of glitches out of the 2nd formal page and the about page [and added my contact details to that]. I also added a preview image to the dollmaker page [which opens in a new window]. How exciting! =3. In addition, I added some rules for the dolls [they appear in the middle frame when you click to access the dolls nav now - clever stuff]. Thanks everyone for the nice tags, on a scale of 1 to awesome, you lot are all an 11 =3.
